The boys had an inset day so we decided to take them to Paultons Park for the day. Now I remember visiting here when I was very small (a few years ago now) so Paultons Park has been around for a while and many of you may know it from the famous Peppa Pig World! Its only a short drive from us and now Betsy is more aware of what's going on we thought it would be something we would all enjoy... adults too!
Voted UK's number one family theme park there are over 70 rides and attractions to enjoy. My boys are all very different and only one of them enjoys the thrill rides so he normally teams up with Anthony and goes on those with him, while my youngest likes to stay with me so we explore the smaller fun rides.
We headed to Lost Kingdom first which is a unique Jurassic land where the Flight of the Pterosaur suspended rollercoaster is - this is probably the most thrilling ride of the park and the one the boys wanted to do first! Whilst the two older boys and Anthony queued for the ride which took about 20 minutes I wandered around with Betsy and Louis and we found a park with a sandpit which was fun to play in as well as moving dinosaurs which made me jump! There were a few smaller rides too so I queued with him (well I say queued there was no queue) and watched with Betsy as he went on those! Some of them are under 7's only so that worked quite well as his brothers would have been too old to go on them anyway and adults cant - so we watched! He loved them!
My favourite rides are the water ones so once the boys were back I took them on the raging river ride and we got a bit wet! The sun was shining so we soon dried off but it was so much fun! We all could fit into one boat - so I was put at the front (of course) thanks boys!
We started to make our way to Critter Creek through beautiful gardens and an aviary it was such a lovely relaxing place to stop for lunch or just take in the beautiful surroundings.
Then we made our way to Peppa Pig World! Wow so colourful and bright I actually thought I was on set for one of the shows! Everything looks so life like and Betsy was loving all the colours. We queued to meet Peppa & George and Betsy met Suzy Sheep walking around too!
This is definitely the busier part of the park so the queues were slightly longer but no more than half an hour so we went on the Queens flying coach ride first which is up in a car high in the sky it was great as Betsy could join us and we could see for miles over the park.
There is a Little Africa walk through with small animals and birds and we saw meerkats penguins and tropical birds. It is nice to have these little extra bits as children don't like queuing up all day so it breaks it up a bit.
In the middle of the park are lots of restaurants and coffee stations with a wide variety of from fish and chips, hot dogs milkshakes and much more. I took some sandwiches for us and we sat down in the gardens and had a rest.
There is a splash park if the weather is kind to you - luckily it was quite warm when we visited so we all dipped our toes in but some children had bought their swimwear and were having a whale of a time! There are changing rooms and lockers available and lots of seating so you can watch on as your children let off a bit of energy!
One thing I did notice was the amount of baby change facilities available. The changing areas were excellent and had several changing stations in each area so there was no waiting around. The park was immaculate and we even saw people cleaning down the benches as we were walking around.
This is a great park for all ages. There are thrill rides for adults and the brave as well as small baby friendly rides and under 7 rides. There are beautiful gardens to walk around animals and birds to see, meet and greet characters a splash park and lots of adventure playgrounds too. At the exit is a large gift shop with lots of amazing things to buy.
We will definitely be coming back, the boys really enjoyed it. Thanks for having us! @paultonspark #peppapigworld #lostkingdon #paultonspark
